The Polycrisis Project Lead / Postdoctoral Fellow will report to the Cascade Institute Research Director and lead all research and analysis activities associated with the Polycrisis Project.
Primary position outcomes:
- Responsible for all data gathering, analysis, and writing for project deliverables
- Engages with the international community working on different dimensions of polycrisis research and action and ensures that their perspectives and voices are integrated into project deliverables
- Directs the design and conduct of all research in each thematic area of the polycrisis project
- Leads the communication of research findings to stakeholders, with the support of other members of the project team
- Manages all aspects of the Polycrisis Project with the support of the Research Director
- Provides regular progress updates to the Research Director, project team, and advisory team
- Plans and facilitates regular meetings with the project team and advisory team
- Tracks all relevant project evaluation metrics
- Prepares an evaluation report at the conclusion of the project for project funders
- Job Requirements- PhD in international affairs or global governance
- Acknowledged expertise in complex systems approaches to world politics
- Acknowledged expertise in systemic risk and polycrisis analysis
- Experience leading research projects on systemic risk and polycrisis
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary research projects
- Experience teaching and communicating key concepts, models, and themes of complex systems theory
- Experience designing pedagogical tools and curricula for university courses on complex systems
- Experience conducting systematic literature reviews
- Experience consulting with diverse stakeholders in the development of research outputs
- Experience communicating research findings to a wide range of stakeholders
