The Position:
The Lead Carpenter will be on site daily, working with and assisting our skilled team of trades and suppliers. He/She will report to the Project Manager and provide regular status updates. The Lead Carpenter will perform skilled carpentry work, prioritize tasks, complete regular site meetings with various stake-holders; interpret project timelines, plans, specifications, and working drawings of construction jobs and will provide feedback daily to build-team ensuring quality standards are met. The Lead Carpenter may also need to perform various forms of labour to assist in the successful completion of construction projects from start to finish. He/She will be responsible to ensure that construction sites are maintained in a professional manner at all times, including site cleanliness, site security, and protection of property from damage as a result of work.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Have a deep understanding of all aspects of residential construction with a skillset and/or knowledge in many types of trades
- Skilled carpenter who is able to perform rough and finish carpentry
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications accurately and ensure accurate construction
- Possess a keen attention to detail
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively with others on the site
- Strong problem solving skills
- Own your own tools, vehicle and possess a clean driver’s abstract
- 5+ years of carpentry experience (preferred)

**Salary**: $30.00-$45.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

- Hamilton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
