Hamilton, Canada Regional Medical Associates Full time

A contract opportunity exists for a Junior Billing Clerk at Regional Medical Associates. RMA submits patient claims to the Ministry of Health on behalf of physicians in the Hamilton and surrounding areas. The Junior Billing clerk plays an important role at RMA by following up on claims with missing or incorrect patient Health Card information. The primary duties and responsibilities are generally as outlined below.

**Responsibilities**
- Patient follow-up for Health Card eligibility
- Corresponding with MOH, physicians and their support staff to obtain the correct patient information, then updating the information on various RMA systems
- Scanning and filing of various billing forms and reports
- Faxing documents to the MOH
- Other duties as assigned by manager

**Experience**
- Knowledge of OHIP Schedule of Benefits for physicians is preferred
- Office Administration - Health Services diploma or equivalent highly desirable

**Assets**
- Excellent communication skills with a strong customer service focus
- High degree of problem-solving abilities
- Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: From $19.80 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
