Position Scope:
**Dene North** is currently looking to hire a Surveyor for a position based up at Kearl Lake in Fort McMurray.
**_
You must be well-organized and favour safety above everything else._**
**Schedule**: 14x14 - 11.5 hours
**Transportation**: flights provided (to/from) - Edmonton & Calgary hubs.
**Responsibilities**:
- Will be capable of independently completing tasks with little to no supervision
- Capable of directing the crew when Survey Lead is not available to give direction and capable of performing all administrative and technical tasks performed by Survey Lead, mainly facilitating project tasks and processing survey data
- Able to use conventional and non-conventional survey equipment to complete topographical surveys and staking requests
- Surveyor Level 1 will have their level 2 ground disturbance certification
- UAV training and/or UAV experience considered a major asset
Qualifications:
- Requires post-secondary Geomatics diploma from accredited institution and will have a minimum of 3 years of working experience
- Must be 18+ years of age
- Must have a valid class 5 driver's license with safe driving record
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- A creative approach to problem solving; adaptability and flexibility
- Have a concern for safety and awareness of safe working procedures
Summary:
- Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
- Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Have experience as requested as mentioned above
- Subject to Random Testing at: Suncor, Suncor Fort Hills and Kearl sites
- Disclose COVID-19 vaccination status:
- Fully immunized individuals must provide government issued proof of vaccination to be exempt from site testing requirements
- Undergo and successfully pass the following testing:
- Breath Alcohol Test
- Urine Drug Test
- Fitness-to-Work Assessment
- Audiometric Testing
- Vision Screening
- Criminal Record Check
**MUST** provide the following items prior to confirmation of their start date:
- CSO or BSO Certification
- Copy of Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Copy of recent Driver’s Abstract
- VOID cheque/direct deposit form
Once dispatched the following processes will occur:
- Will receive a call from NACG to set up all required pre-employment testing
