Surveyor Student PCL Construction invites applications for a Surveyor Student role in our Canadian Industrial Division located in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. Position: Internship / Full-Time Duration: 4 months starting May 2026 Overview As a student at PCL, you will receive challenging work assignments in a supportive environment that promotes personal and professional growth. The role involves collaborating on projects to help build better communities. Responsibilities Assisting with project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and cost control. Participating in project meetings. Reviewing drawings. Submitting requests for information. Assisting with the identification and resolution of field technical issues. Acting as an ambassador for various safety campaigns. Conducting field safety inspections. Communicating changes with trades staff. Setting up / maintaining record keeping. Performing ad hoc duties as required. Qualifications Pursuing a degree or diploma in engineering with a mechanical, electrical, or civil major. Strong desire to work in a construction environment; prior field construction experience is an asset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; knowledge of AutoCAD and Bluebeam is an asset. Self‑motivated and capable of working independently. Multi‑discipline mindset. Working Conditions Must provide own CSA‑approved steel‑toed boots.
