**Position**:Labour and Human Resources Business Partner**

Southbridge Care Homes owns and operates 26 Long-Term Care Homes and 9 Retirement Homes throughout many urban and rural areas of Ontario. Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a **Labour and Human Resources Business Partner **to deliver support and expertise to our portfolio of LTC and Retirement homes. Reporting to the **Manager of People and Culture**, the individual will demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and passion for senior care by delivering high-quality leadership support to our homes.

**Responsibilities**:

- Demonstrates leadership and influence on decision makers by coaching and advising on legal and compliance matters, ensuring adherence to all relevant legislation, best practices, policies and procedures, and the Collective Agreement.
- Supports the implementation of HR processes including organization design, succession planning, leadership and employee development, change management, performance management, etc.
- Supports the implementation of OH&S processes, including policy development, claims resolutions and disability/ WSIB transitional work management programs
- Collaborates with stakeholders in the development, recommendation, and implementation of labour and employee relations strategy.
- Coordinates and plans for the full cycle collective bargaining process by supporting 3rd party contractor during negotiations and supporting the implementation of collective agreements once complete.
- Travel as required throughout Ontario, a reliable vehicle is a must.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary degree in Human Resources and/or Labour Relations is an asset and/or 10 years leadership experience at an operational level.
- Strong business acumen; understand the operations and balances the need of the business
- CHRL designation is an asset.
- Thorough knowledge of employment and labour relations legislation, including the Ontario Employment Standards Act, Labour Relations Act, and Ontario Human Rights Code.
- Thorough knowledge of grievance and arbitration processes and other dispute-resolution mechanisms.
