**About the Role**:
At the YMCA Riverbend Out of School Care program, we are committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and high-quality environment for all children and families. As an Out of School Care Volunteer, you will support children’s learning and development, help them build positive relationships with peers, staff, and volunteers, and contribute to a caring and inclusive community.
**Responsibilities**:
- Be positive, helpful, and welcoming at all times. Support children in learning and playing in a safe, engaging environment. Actively supervise and coach children during programs.
- Ensure all safety documents are completed accurately, and that parent sign-in/out procedures are followed. Support staff in delivering age-appropriate programming that helps participants build skills in a fun and supportive way.
- Assist with activities by taking attendance, setting up tables, and cleaning up after programming.
- Help communicate with parents regarding feedback and concerns.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
**Qualifications**:
- Friendly, energetic, and positive attitude
- Interest or experience in working with or caring for children and youth
- Volunteers age 18+ must provide a satisfactory Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search before their first day of volunteering, and every three years thereafter.
