Metro Infrastructure Inc is growing and we want you This position will provide support to the Project Manager/ Project Coordinator, in conjunction with the Director of Operations and Director of Engineering; in assisting with the operational responsibilities and accountability for the execution of numerous construction projects, including compliance and reporting. A construction foreperson has a solid background in the field, logical thinking skills, experience in telecommunications construction, implantation and attention to detail skills with a keen eye for following company Health & Safety procedures. Your leadership skills and your extensive experience should earn you the ability to direct the work of others and make quick decisions. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES** - Site coordination including traffic plan implementation - Daily production from crews - Supervise and educate crew - Ensure manpower and resources are adequate and ready daily - Site and site persons safety management - Daily progress reporting - Completion of daily required documentation for submission - Liaison between crews and Project Mangers - Equipment and machinery operation - Other duties as required - Communicate with clients **JOB REQUIREMENTS** - Minimum of 2+ years working experience in Civil Construction - Experience working Mini Excavators - Excellent organizational and production skills - Clear and concise communication skills - Ability to read and interpret plans - Excellent time skills - Ability to lift >=70lbs - Valid G Driver’s License with clean abstract - Valid Emergency First Aid Certification - Valid Working at Heights Certification - Previous FTTH Construction knowledge would be considered an asset **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: $31.00-$35.00 per hour Additional pay: - Overtime pay Schedule: - Day shift - Monday to Friday - Overtime - Weekend availability **Experience**: - FTTH Construction building: 2 years (required) - Supervising: 2 years (required) - Telecommunication: 2 years (required) Licence/Certification: - Class G Licence (required) - Emergency First Aid Certification (preferred) - Working at Heights Certificate (preferred)
