As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Production Supervisor to help lead our Production team at our Waterloo location.

Summary of Role

The Production Supervisor oversees daily production activities, ensuring product quality, employee performance, operational efficiency, and compliance with food safety standards. This role supports a positive team culture, provides coaching and direction to staff, and ensures production targets are met safely and accurately.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Leadership & People Management**
- Supervise and support Production Associates, ensuring productivity and compliance
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and task direction
- Foster a positive team culture and strong morale

**Production Execution**
- Oversee meat processing operations including cutting, trimming, and packaging
- Plan and organize workflow to ensure resource readiness and production efficiency
- Support specialty product production such as sausages and smoked meats

**Food Safety, Quality & Compliance**
- Maintain compliance with quality standards, sanitation, safe food handling, and hygiene
- Verify product integrity, freshness, labeling accuracy, and proper rotation
- Work with Quality Control to address deviations and uphold product standards

**Inventory & Equipment Oversight**
- Receive and verify raw materials for count, condition, and suitability
- Ensure tools, PPE, and production equipment are operational, clean, and safe
- Conduct regular inventory counts and investigate discrepancies

**Administration & Continuous Improvement**
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation
- Assist with process improvements to reduce costs and increase efficiency
- Escalate complex issues when necessary

**General Duties**
- Perform cleaning duties and basic equipment maintenance
- Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas

**Qualifications**
- Experience in food processing or meat production required
- Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to problem-solve and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Mathematical accuracy and ability to manage documentation
- Knowledge of CFIA or similar food safety standards is an asset

**Physical Requirements**
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in refrigerated environments
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
- Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination

**Work Schedule**

Monday - Friday, daytime schedule with flexibility as required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
