**Overview**:
St. Paul Abilities Network currently has several vacant Team Leader positions for 24 hour staff residences in St. Paul.

The Team Leader incorporates front-line and supervisory functions. The Team Leader has the responsibility to manage front line staff and oversee responsibilities of individuals in their respective programs. The Team Leader responds to the day-to-day activities and problems by providing support and direction to front-line staff, ensuring provision of quality service for individuals and monitoring staff and individual activities.

The Team Leader is responsible for adhering to all key functions and responsibilities of the CDSW Job Description as well as the functions and responsibilities outlined in the Team Leader Job Description.

**Key Responsibilities of the position include**:

- Understanding Personalized Needs of Individuals in Service_
- Attend medical and dental appointments of individuals as required
- Respond to emergency situations
- Program Oversight & Management_
- Monitor and operate within monthly and annual budgets
- Ensure licensing standards are met and maintained, where applicable
- Ensure Accreditation standards are met and maintained
- Attend program meetings as required
- Participate in staff training as required
- Participate in on-call rotation
- Staff Supervision_
- Monthly scheduling
- Verifying timesheets
- Performance management
- Evaluate staff performance using agency approved processes and documents
- Facilitate all staff meetings
- Maintain, update and prepare required documentation and reports in accordance with the agency's policies and procedures
- Adhere to and ensure compliance with all agency policies and procedures
- Programming_
- Assist with all aspects of programming including but not limited to:

- assist with the development and implementation of Individual Service Plans
- participate in the completion of assessments including assessment summaries
- prepare reports for service planning meetings
- evaluate programs, correlate and graph data
- review data summaries with staff
- supervise staff implementation of programs and data collection
- orientate staff to program procedures
- Facilitate planning meetings for individuals (ie. Case conferences, program reviews, special needs meetings, etc.)
- Communicate professionally and accurately with individuals, families, guardians, staff and community members
- Understand and respect confidentiality of information

- Working knowledge of SPAN’s policies and procedures
- Valid First Aid and CPR
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Sharevision an asset
- Awareness of community resources
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills
- The ability to assume responsibility and to learn in a changing environment

**Education and Experience**:
A combination of education and/or relevant experience is required for this position.

Applicants must hold a valid Class 5 Driver’s License.

**Working Conditions**:
Team Leaders are expected to work in a variety of situations.

May be required to work outside regularly scheduled hours, when necessary to meet program requirements.

May be required to sit on various committees as required.

Must be available for after-hours on-call as well as on-call rotation for weekends.
