**Stepping Stones Group Care is looking for exceptional youth support workers. We are committed to excellent client centered service delivery and are looking to employ workers who have a passion for supporting children and youth. We are currently looking for a Team Lead to work with children and youth who have mental health challenges.**
**Responsibilities and Duties**
**Team Leadership**:
- Demonstrate the ability to provide support to management and assist other group homes as needed, including tasks such as completing paperwork, maintaining organization, and contributing to decision-making processes.
- Ability to create an environment orientated to trust, open communication, creative thinking and cohesive team effort.
- Ability to motivate and inspire team members
- Ability to schedule staffing using HomeBase
- Ability to lead by setting a good example (role model)
- Must be approachable
- Ability to facilitate problem solving and collaboration
- Ability to maintain healthy group dynamics and **be ready to intervene when necessary** **to aid the group in resolving issues, is very important.**:
- Ability to recognize and celebrate team and individual accomplishments and exceptional performance
- Must have knowledge of the basic food groups. Must prepare menus and grocery shop for clients.
**Team Management**:
- Must be able to facilitate the day to day organisation within the home environment.
- Must be able to ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained to provide effective care provision
- Must be able to manage staff sickness levels, organizing necessary cover on an on-call day (schedule staffing using HomeBase)
- Must be able to familiarize the team with clients needs and ensure the team address all relevant areas of care within their individual sphere of employment.
- Must be able to organize and facilitate regular staff meetings.
- Must be able to provide necessary organisational information to staff team.
- Help keep the team focused and on track.
- Must ensure the clients goal/service plan is up to date and completed, all appointments and mandate are being met via quality of care.
- Must be comfortable with contacting the caseworker on a continuous basis.
- Must make sure Client’s concerns are addressed.
- The Team Lead is responsible for both the intake and discharge of their client. All intake and discharge procedures

**Required**:
- Current clear criminal record check
- Current child welfare records check. (Within the last six months)

- Valid Class 5 License and reliable transportation.

**Qualifications and Skills**
**Qualifications**:(certificates, licences, memberships, etc.)**:
- Child and Youth Care Worker (CCW/CYW) Diploma or Social Worker Diploma (SW) or Social Service Worker (SSW) Diploma, and a University Degree. Must have experience of a supervisory role
- Must have 6-12 months experience in Child and Youth Care or equivalent experience in
Must have current Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
Must have current Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate
Must have current Cultural Awareness Training
Must have current Medication Administration Certificate
Must have current Cardiopulmonary, Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate
Must have a current First Aid Certificate.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
