**What is the Opportunity**
Reporting to the Executive Vice-President, Business Development and Client Partnerships, your primary responsibility will be the business development of the institutional client market in Canada, and globally, in order to drive continued revenue and sales growth. You will promote Addenda's unique value proposition to prospective clients and position it advantageously to increase Addenda’s visibility in the market.
**What You Will Do**
- You leverage your business networking skills to attract new business, increase revenue, and meet sales objectives;
- You build partnerships and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders;
- You participate in industry events to maintain an active presence in the business community;
- You solicit and develop a business relationship with institutional clients;
- You present Addenda Capital’s strengths and communicate our value proposition to prospective clients;
- You monitor and analyze market data trends to identify business development opportunities and to connect with new prospects;
- You develop a long-term business development plan.
**What you Will Need to Succeed**
**Experience and Knowledge**
- You have a minimum of 15 years of professional experience in a similar role in the investment industry, primarily in institutional market;
- You have a proven track record for developing and executing sales strategies with institutional clients;
- You acquire a solid understanding of the institutional markets as well as in-depth insight into the key sectors, and competitive positioning of various firms;
- You have extensive investment knowledge of asset classes and the financial markets;
- You possess the CFA designation and meet the portfolio manager’s registration requirements (compulsory);
- You have a strong knowledge of ESG investing and institutional investments.
**Skills and Abilities**
- You possess influential and interpersonal skills, combined with a customer-oriented approach;
- You possess effective presentation and proposal development skills;
- You are a self-motivated, and results-oriented professional with entrepreneurial drive;
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- You stand out when interacting with people at different levels in organizations and have a natural ability for forging new relationships;
- Fluency in French and a third language (German or Spanish) would be considered an asset;
- You are available for occasional business travel.
