Manager, Environmental

**KEY OPPORTUNITIES & CHALLENGES**

Reporting to the Vice-President, Environmental, the **Manager of Environmental** is responsible for overseeing Environmental Saskatchewan operations. This position has a heavy business development component.
- Provide overall internal and external leadership and general management of the Environmental Solutions business unit for West Earth Sciences Saskatchewan
- Ensure teamwork and collaboration across business units to ensure effective development and implementation of Business Transformation activities
- Manage a team of multi-disciplinary environmental professionals across Saskatchewan
- Foster culture of innovation within West to promote idea generation and marketed externally to enhance business development opportunities.
- Identify new and unique customer value propositions, delivered through innovative practices, technologies, and business models.
- Implement systems and processes to rapidly identify, test, and validate opportunities.
- Maximize profitability and focus team resources on efficient project execution
- Oversee implementation of training materials and processes to educate employees on principles, methods, and tools that improve delivery of customer value-driven, outcome-oriented improvements and solutions.
- Assess impact of projects to identify opportunities, constraints, and best practices to better facilitate future planning.
- Support alignment and integration of initiatives with company and leadership goals and priorities.
- Oversee report of environmental Saskatchewan KPI data for internal and external audiences
- Promote and sell West’s various services across Saskatchewan
- Keep up to date on relevant industry information, directive, guides, and information letters
- Build and maintain strong customer relations
- Potential requirement for field sales calls, field visits and visits to field offices
- Development of existing accounts generating leads and sales, cold calling clients, and assessment of marketing opportunities and target markets
- Development and presentation of formal proposals, account planning performance monitoring, development of sales targets, budgets and forecasts in cooperation with the Business Development team
- Attend and participate in site-visits, as well as pre-bid and post-bid meetings
- Review all final Saskatchewan proposal packages to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Other duties as assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills with proven ability to lead and create alignment across business units and teams.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science or Environmental Sciences or other related fields.
- 10+ years of environmental industry experience.
- Professional designation required (P.Bio, P.Ag, P.Eng or equivalent)
- Previous business development experience will be considered an asset
- Adept at managing through ambiguity and changing environments and demands
- Experience in building engaging partnerships with teams and organizational stakeholders through trust, teamwork and direct communication.
- Agile with continuous improvement and change mindset.
- Strong advocate and champion of innovation, sustainability, concepts, methods, and tools.
- Strong negotiating & selling skills, and research, quantitative & analytical skills
- Exceptional Microsoft Office, writing/editing skills, with an ability to summarize key findings and effectively communicate complex concepts succinctly to different audiences
