**General Summary**

We’re seeking a driven Technical Sales Specialist to join our growing team at a leading Managed Services Provider (MSP). In this hybrid pre-sales and solution-engineering role, you'll work closely with prospective and existing clients to understand their business challenges and design managed service solutions that meet their specific goals.

As an MSP, we serve clients across a range of industries with varying infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, and support needs. This role requires someone who can not only communicate the value of our services but also scope, engineer, and present custom solutions that align with both technical requirements and business priorities.

You'll collaborate with Account Managers, technical delivery teams, and marketing to craft proposals, and support the full sales cycle from discovery to close.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Identify client needs and design tailored managed service solutions, including network and infrastructure projects, security, and managed IT services.
- Respond to RFPs, and bids, ensuring that each proposal reflects a clearly engineered solution that aligns with the client’s current state and future goals.
- Collaborate with inbound leads and marketing opportunities to qualify and scope appropriate services and delivery models.
- Develop clear, detailed, and accurate project quotes and proposals that articulate the technical scope, deliverables, pricing, and value of our managed services.
- Support Account Managers by identifying and engineering cross-sell and upsell solutions as client needs evolve.
- Act as the solution expert in sales conversations, ensuring all technical and delivery aspects are clearly defined and feasible.
- Follow up diligently to keep opportunities moving and ensure scoping aligns with evolving client input.
- Maintain KPIs and contribute to revenue targets, ensuring consistency in opportunity tracking and pipeline management.
- Adapt solution designs based on each client’s environment—no two are the same, and your ability to scope the right solution is critical to our success.

**Credentials and Experience**
- 3+ years of experience in technical sales, pre-sales engineering, or solution consulting, preferably in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) or IT services environment.
- Proven ability to scope and engineer custom IT solutions, including but not limited to infrastructure, cloud platforms, backup and disaster recovery, security, and support services.
- Strong understanding of managed services delivery models and how to align them with client business needs.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including experience writing proposals and presenting technical content to business stakeholders.
- Experience handling RFP responses and developing complex technical quotes.
- Skilled at collaborating with Account Managers, delivery teams, and technical engineers to shape feasible and valuable solutions.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and proposal platforms.
- Results-driven, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple sales engagements simultaneously.
