Vancouver, Canada JPD Contacting Inc. Full time

The Site Logistics and Coordination Manager will be responsible for overseeing all logistics and coordination activities at the commercial construction site for JPD Contracting. The primary focus will be on integrating logistics with processes such as tenant construction coordination, site traffic control, waste management, and site protection and security.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement operating strategies, plans, procedures, and recommended software to support daily site logistics and coordination between JPD Contracting's commercial and residential construction and Tenant GC's.
- Collaborate with Tenant Coordination, Tenant GC's, and any other parties requiring access to the loading docks to ensure a constant and efficient flow throughout the site area. This includes proper management of the booking system and site control to facilitate the smooth movement of groups through the loading docks.
- Work with JPD Contracting and Ownership to modify emergency response plans or procedures as required by site conditions.
- Supervise the work of Tenant GCs and sub-trades to ensure site safety and security, compliance with site regulations, and respect for the property.
- Attend onsite Tenant contractor kickoff meetings to communicate site rules and regulations to TI GCs.
- Coordinate and arrange for Tenant GC safety orientations with JPD Contracting's safety team.
- Assign colored badges/stickers for Tenant GC verification of their on-site presence.
- Communicate and escalate all complaints and site problems from Tenants, Tenant GCs, and trades to the Tenant Coordination team and/or appropriate stakeholders from Ownership or JPD Contracting as necessary.
- Manage and coordinate waste, recycling, and pallet pickup with the waste hauling company. Charge back sani removal costs to Tenants using keypad entry.
- Manage and coordinate restroom facilities with the designated company.
- Direct traffic and resolve logístical/traffic/loading conflicts, starting at the truck tunnel entry point, to the designated loading docks for Tenant GCs.
- Ensure that only commercial and authorized vehicles have access to the dock areas.
- Monitor the day-to-day operations of the loading dock and freight elevators, document and track any damages caused by Tenant GCs, and report to the Tenant Coordination team.
- Proactively mitigate, manage, and resolve issues related to the dock area.
- Maintain reports such as access, property damage, security issues, and safety records in conjunction with security.

Job Qualifications:

- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Dock Master, Logistics Manager, or in a related role.
- Minimum OFA Level 1 (Occupational First Aid Level 1) certification.
- Working knowledge of loading docks.
- Knowledge and experience of a commercial construction site and tenant fit-outs.
- Familiarity with freight elevators and their operation.
- Strong scheduling and traffic management skills.
- Excellent temperament, judgment, and a commanding supervisory presence.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

**Education**:

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Special Requirements:

- Ability to lift 30-50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in an upright standing or sitting position for extended periods.
- Ability to quickly navigate the property/building to fulfill job functions.
- Willingness to work extended hours or weekends based on project requirements.
- Capability to respond to emergencies and callouts promptly.

**Salary**: $85,000.00-$93,000.00 per year
