A member of Executive Council, reporting to the Director of

Education, you will demonstrate your commitment to the Board’s vision, which centres

on inspiring hearts and minds to cultivate a future of hope and success for

every student, in every classroom, in every school. Responsibilities will

include supervision and oversight of assigned schools (elementary and

secondary), central portfolios and working proactively with the senior team to

execute the Board’s Multi-Year Strategic Plan as well as other Ministry initiatives.

Situated in historic Kingston, on the shores of scenic Lake

Ontario, the Limestone District School Board serves more than 19,000 students

in 55 schools and 5 alternative education centres, covering a geographic area of 7,719 square

kilometres across the City of Kingston,

the Townships of Central Frontenac, North Frontenac,

South Frontenac, Addington Highlands, Loyalist, Stone Mills, the Frontenac

Islands and the Town of Greater Napanee. The Greater Kingston Area promotes and

supports the diversity that continues to grow within our communities.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience

A member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers, you possess permanent or interim certification and hold Ontario Supervisory Officer qualifications or ability to fulfill the Ontario Supervisory Officer Qualification requirements by July 2026. In addition, you demonstrate:
Outstanding educational leadership, including a commitment to collaborative decision-making with trustees, peers, employees, and community partners

Fosters and models equitable and inclusive practices/leadership

Strong evidence of furthering student achievement and well-being, system success, and equity of outcomes for all students

Effective change management/leadership strategies

Engages in visionary and/or collaborative leadership & communication

Builds and fosters positive relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including students, staff, families, trustees, and community partners

Engages in reflective leadership

Demonstrates flexibility, adaptability, and resilience

Demonstrated ambassador for public education, contributing to, promoting, and championing the Board’s vision, values, goals, and achievements
