**Job Overview**
The Front Desk Administrator is an important member of our administrative team and is the first point of contact for visitors to the school, parents, staff and children. The Front Desk Administrator reports to the school principal and provides administrative support to students and faculty and works closely with all members of our administrative team.
Responsibilities include:
- Answer incoming phone calls in a pleasant, informed manner for the purpose of providing and creating a positive image and first impression of the school.
- Be knowledgeable and current on school activities, programs, and events related to the school calendar
- Input student registrations and change students schedules as required
- Update public health database
- Send out digital documents to parent portal and student portal when required.
- Enters information on report cards
- Confirm all new courses for students and make sure database is updated
- Order and manage office supplies
**Required Education and Experience**
- Post-secondary education in business, administration, or a related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years’ administrative experience in a fast-paced environment
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with students, parents, staff and visitors in a clear and professional manner.
- Excellent customer service skills to provide a welcoming and helpful experience for all individuals coming to the school
- Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Attention to detail to maintain accurate student records and administrative information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office for document creation and data management
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when dealing with student records and other private matters.
- Working knowledge of school management software (i.e. Maplewood)
- Ability and knowledge of FIPPA - Privacy Laws and Confidentiality
