**The Opportunity**:
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Sales Associate to join our team at Valhalla Pure Outfitters in North Vancouver. If you have a knack for sales, a love for outdoor sports, and enjoy working in a dynamic environment, this position is perfect for you

**The Responsibilities**:

- Engage and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing product recommendations and answering their inquiries about outdoor apparel and gear.
- Utilize product knowledge and sales techniques to upsell and cross-sell merchandise, helping customers find the perfect products for their needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including restocking shelves, arranging displays, and ensuring products are properly labeled.
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Stay up to date with the latest outdoor sports trends and product knowledge through training sessions and self-study.
- Be passionate and dedicated to the Valhalla Pure Outfitters vision, values and goals, fostering a vibrant outdoor community, sharing our knowledge and ensuring our clients are set up to have a remarkable outdoor experience.

**The Requirements**:

- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
- Passion for outdoor sports, such as hiking, camping, climbing, or back country skiing to name a few.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to handle customer inquiries and concerns.
- Have good computer skills including inventory management, cash / card transactions and returns if necessary.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Are a quick learner with a great work ethic, positive attitude and are excellent at offering world class service.
- You have product knowledge in a variety of outdoor apparel and equipment.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays, as required.
- Must be physically capable of standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

- North Vancouver, BC V7M 3M7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- sales: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
