**Veterinary Assistant, Receptionist**

**Location: Halifax, NS**

**Schedule: Full-time**

**North End Animal Hospital** is growing and we are welcoming an engaging **Veterinary Assistant, Receptionist **to join our team This is an exceptional opportunity for an organized, motivated, and empathetic individual to join us in a very important support role for the entire hospital. In this role, you will help our clients and their pets feel welcomed and appreciated
- Assisting veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments
- Cultivating a warm, positive, compassionate atmosphere for our clients and patients
- Handling appointment scheduling, pet patient admission and discharge, and follow-up calls
- Managing invoicing/billing, including creating estimates, obtaining pet owner confirmation, and processing payments
- General cleanliness maintenance in reception, pet holding areas, and common spaces
- Demonstrating willingness to learn about pet nutrition, veterinary services, and updated medical office procedures
- Remaining calm and adaptable in stressful situations
- Taking initiative and working independently
- A Veterinary Assistant (VA) or Veterinary Assistant Office Administration (VAOA) program certificate is an asset
- A love for all companion animals
