Health Standards Organization (HSO) is looking for is searching for an exceptional Lead with patient and public engagement expertise who shares our passion for achieving quality health services for all. As Patient Partnerships Office Lead, you will share our commitment in enabling meaningful, purposeful and effective partnerships with patients and families. In this role, you will support HSO and Accreditation Canada team members as they engage people who have lived experience in the development of standards and in the delivery of quality assessments. Your efforts will ensure that Patient Partnerships support the critical need for individuals and their communities to be partners not only in care, but also in shaping policies and services.

**The core objectives of Patient Partnerships Office are to**:

- Build and maintain the patient partner (PP) network
- Collaborate with internal teams to recruit, screen and onboard PPs
- Co-design supportive resources and strategies to enable successful partnerships
- Coach and advise staff on patient partnerships related content and processes
- Monitor and evaluate patient partner experiences for continuous learning and improvement

**You have a unique background. Does it include the experience and skills listed below?**
- Training in public and patient engagement plus minimum 5 years related experience.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills including energy and a positive attitude (you’ll be interacting daily with our team members and external partners in a fast-paced environment).
- Knowledge of emerging body of evidence related to patient engagement for quality improvement.
- Familiarity with existing patient/family partner/advisory networks in Canada and internationally.
- Ability to connect, to build trust and openness with people to share common goals.
- Excellent communication in sharing information and experiences about how working with patients and their families is key to quality healthcare for all.
- Ability to listen with empathy and curiosity to hear different perspectives and show appreciation of patient experience.
- Ability to influence and change processes to support staff and patients in establishing meaningful, purposeful and effective engagement processes.
- Knowledge of quality improvement methods and change management theory.
- Experience in co-design processes to build products and services.
- Tried and tested analytical and critical-thinking skills.
