Establish, notify and maintain the basic compliance standards for the Purchasing Processes in Dofasco. - Implement and deploy AM policies impacting Purchasing, ensuring all AMD policies and Group policies are aligned and followed. - Ensure the timely and accurate approval of invoices for ArcelorMittal Dofasco’s purchased spend Lead the alignment with Internal Assurance and Purchasing. **Accountabilities**: - Develop and maintain the Purchasing technology strategy and roadmap For Business Systems and Processes - Provide leadership and direction for: - Development, maintenance, and improvement of the purchasing business systems that are designed to provide accurate data, financial controls, and minimize total cost. - Ensure compliance to required standards including ISO/TS16949 compliance) and associated training materials. - Development of query and reporting systems to support the Purchasing department in their analysis and decision making. - Benchmarking initiatives to ensure business and technology best practices are leveraged. - Coordination of Purchasing department initiatives, including Reporting for ArcelorMittal initiatives - Deploy Department-wide training as required (Negotiations, SAP, etc.) - Execution of invoice payment validation, approvals, and collaboration with internal ArcelorMittal stakeholders and the supply base to resolve issues. - Defining the business systems, processes, and training for the Purchasing Category Teams to facilitate Invoiceless Payment and Barcoding, to maintain Financial Controls at the lowest TCOE. - Collaboration with the Buying Teams, where needed, to develop effective contracts that ensure the payment process is the most efficient and effective. - Collaboration with the Buyer, and Sourcing Manager where needed, to analyze and implement business process improvements on recurring invoice issues. - Collaboration with Internal/External Auditors, and Sourcing Managers where required, to provide information and define effective controls as needs are identified for the payment of $5 billion/year in invoices. - Change leadership with ArcelorMittal management in Audit, Information Systems, Business Unit GM’s, Treasury, etc., to achieve support for continuous improvement related to the Procurement Process (TCOE and/or Financial Control impact). - Lead the execution of a 2 Year Project to manage the transition of Purchasing and Stores to a new Business system that is based on SAP Software 2025-2026. **Education and Accreditation**: - University degree in Science, Engineering, Commerce or MBA is required. - 9-12 years proven experience in procurement, information systems, or manufacturing is required. **Knowledge**: - Expertise in the systems, processes and compliance in procurement and ensure alignment. - Advanced knowledge, breadth and depth, of Purchasing processes and business systems. - Working knowledge of financial reporting and risk management practices. - Working knowledge of how Manufacturing and Maintenance departments function in relation to execution of the procurement process. - Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodology and supporting tools. **Skills**: - Strong leadership skills, able to lead by example and draw upon skills and abilities
