**ora bread & wine **is currently hiring a **LINE COOK **to join our culinary team

**ora bread and wine** is a new concept cafe restaurant in west end downtown calgary. we serve fresh bake goods everyday, chef driven seasonal brunch and dinner menu, over flowing complimentary house bread. food menu is designed to accompanied with bread. ora bread and wine is your new neighbourhood cafe and wine bar.

We are located in Downtown Calgary, just two blocks from the nearest ctrain station.

**Please note: You must already have legal permission to work in Canada to be considered for this role.**

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Preparing food according to recipes, portion controls and presentation specifications as set out by our Head Chef
- Operating standard kitchen equipment with caution
- Maintaining clean and organized stations
- Following the FIFO method to maximize product freshness
- Moving food products and supplies between outlets when necessary
- Working collaboratively with BOH team members
- Inventory count and cleaning/dishwashing as required
- Encouraging the ora's core beliefs and values on a daily basis
- Working independently and alone with little to no supervision
- Other duties/responsibilities as assigned

**What you’ll bring to the kitchen**:

- **EXPERIENCE. **You have at least one (1-2) years of cooking experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- **EDUCATION/TRAINING. **You’ve graduated with a culinary degree/diploma or it’s in process. It’s possible that school wasn’t your thing, but you’ve got the equivalent of a college education through a combination of education and experience.
- **EMPATHY. **You’re a humble individual with a good sense of humour. Someone who is kind, generous, helpful to others, and committed to winning strategy.
- **PASSION. **You have a genuine passion for food and a drive to create amazing experiences.
- **COMMUNICATION SKILLS. **You demonstrate exceptional relationship-building and communication skills among your team members at the restaurant. You can handle challenging situations with your strong communication skills. Listen, Emthpaize, React, Resolve.
- **ADAPTABILITY. **You thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and can work weekends, holidays, and mornings as required.

**Salary**: $17.15-$21.50 per hour
