**YOUR OPPORTUNITY**

Kanvi Homes is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced finance leader to join the team and help the business continue to grow and succeed in the industry.

The Controller will be a key member of the team responsible for overseeing all aspects of the finance and accounting functions in addition to supporting operational and strategic initiatives. The Controller will be required to regularly communicate with the ownership group, customers, vendors, and operational team members to generate accurate, up to date information on costs, internal controls, cash flow forecasts, budgets and meaningful business analysis that supports comprehensive decision making and performance monitoring initiatives. The Controller will bring fresh ideas and perspectives towards the financial reporting function and finance transformation projects.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Professionalize and manage full cycle accounting processes and internal controls;
- Prepare the month-end reporting package which includes a financial performance update, cash flow forecast, and updates on operational and strategic initiatives;
- Lead the development of the annual business plan and budget, including taking ownership over the entire process and ensuring alignment with the Company’s overall strategic goals and objectives.
- Define and establish key operations and financial performance indicators (KPIs) and set up an efficient and timely reporting process.
- Management of the treasury processes to ensure efficient working capital management, covenant compliance, balance sheet health, current understanding of expected future performance, etc.;
- Management of banking relationships, insurance relationships, and other professional relationships;
- Support annual year end review engagement and tax compliance;
- Serve as a business partner to operational and strategic decision makers by providing financial support and tools. Synthesize data from departments to build business cases for strategic initiatives;
- Support in the areas of contracts, negotiations, personnel issues, legal compliance, legal matters, and other issues, as required.
- Identify and contribute to a variety of finance transformation projects including technological advancements, system implementations, process improvements, etc. with the goal of implementing efficiencies, enhancing reporting and controls, and simplifying finance.

**YOUR CAPABILITIES AND CREDENTIALS**

To be successful in this role you must have:

- Designated CPA;
- 5+ years of increasing experience in finance and accounting functions including relevant experience in a public practice accounting firm.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop financial analysis and reporting in an efficient manner and with a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of accounting principles, financial processes, and controls.
- Ability to exercise sound professional judgement and decision making on financial, business, and organizational issues;
- Proactive, self-motivated, decisive, driven and committed to organizational success;
- Makes sound commercial judgments and actions to ensure financial success;
- Strong attention to detail; and
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
