**WORK TERM**: May 05 - August 22, 2025

**LOCATION**: Hybrid Model - when working onsite, you will report to the location of City Hall.

**HOURLY RATE**: $21.48

**POSTING DATE**: January 15, 2025

**CLOSING DATE**: January 22, 2025

**AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY**:

- Assist Environmental Planners implement the City’s Grow Green Environmental Master Plan including:

- prepare background materials for memos and reports, research, presentation, case studies, workshops,
- Assist with the establishment of internal staff Grow Green Team
- Assist with the development of communication and engagement strategy
- Review and analyze the City’s Natural Area Inventory and Natural Heritage Restoration Program
- Assist with the implementation of the City’s Sustainability Guidelines and Metrics
- Compiling meeting agendas, minutes and other administrative tasks
- Conducting site visits with staff
- Perform other duties as may be assigned

**SELECTION CRITERIA**:
- Post-secondary student in planning, geography, architecture, landscape architecture with urban design, healthy communities, environmental sustainability and natural heritage planning interests
- Knowledge and experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other computer graphics programs (Adobe Photoshop)
- Design skills are an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Fast learner, capable to work in a rapidly changing environment and with deadlines
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
- **Preference will be given to students that have a permanent residency in Brampton._
- **Various tests and/or exams may be administered as part of the selection criteria._
