**We are currently hiring Casual Recreation Facilitators and Aides.**

Under the direction of the Director of Program Support & Volunteer Services, this position will be responsible for administering a range of rehabilitative, recreation and leisure programming within the IOOF Seniors Homes Inc. consistent with this philosophy and the policies and procedures of the Home and the Department.

**Qualifications**:

- **Required: Enrollment in a community college or university in a diploma or degree program in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology or other related field or Graduate of a post-secondary diploma or degree in Recreation and Leisure studies, Therapeutic Recreation, Kinesiology or other related field from a community college or university - Required.**:

- **Minimum two (2) years’ experience working in one or more of the following**:

- **Long-term Care**:

- **Retirement residence**:

- **Seniors Community Centre and/or day program**:

- **Rehabilitation with the elderly is preferred**:

- Experience working with the elderly an asset
- **Class “G” motor vehicle license is required**:

- **Class “F” motor vehicle license is preferred**:

- Musical aptitude - beneficial
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Good organizational skills, initiative and decision making ability

**Hours of Work**:
Variable depending on shift

**Job Types**: Permanent, Casual

**Salary**: $20.89-$22.34 per hour

Schedule:

- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Barrie, ON L4N 5L3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
