**Roles and Responsibilities**
Reporting to the Chief Flight Instructor, the Head of Training is responsible for the organizations’ activities, policies, practices and procedures, while ensuring continued maintenance of the FTU’s approval status.
Airport. Flexibility will be required to attend community outreach events, South Alberta Flight Academy events,
Medicine Hat College meetings and events, etc.
Development of an ATO
Community Outreach - tradeshows, career fairs
Course and curriculum development
Liaison with Medicine Hat College
South Alberta Flight Academy
Develop Class 4 Flight Instructors
**Required Qualifications**
Class 1 Flight Instructor Rating
Current Commercial Pilot License or ATPL License
Teaching Experience
Strong Interpersonal, collaboration, presentation and communication skills
Significant professional aviation experience
Ability to implement innovative ideas into the development of programs and student learning
**Preferred Qualifications**
Post-Secondary Degree
An Airline Transport Pilot License
Experience in post-secondary education
Experience in program and course development
**Terms of Employment**
3 year contract, with possibility of extension
Salary to commensurate with experience; will be above industry standard

**Dave Rozdeba South Alberta Flight Academy**
The Dave Rozdeba Flight Academy is named after Dave Rozdeba; a former Prairie Rose teacher and avid flight enthusiast who passed away in 2017. He first worked as a teacher at Alexandra Middle School from 1991 to 1996 and then as an administrator and coach at Eagle Butte High School from 1996 on until his health would not allow him to continue working. With a family history of flight, Dave was instrumental in founding the Family Fun and Flight Show at the
Medicine Hat Airport where he served as ‘Flight Boss.' Dave passed away in 2017 at the age of 51.
