Head Cook

Cottonwood Coulee Golf Course is looking to hire a full-time Head Cook to be a part of our team. If you have a passion for cooking and enjoy working in a fun, fast paced environment this is the job for you

This is a seasonal position until the close of the golf course in late October. Evenings/weekends and holidays will all be required.

Salary is based on experience and abilities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assist in the hiring/scheduling and training of other cooks.
- Work alongside the Clubhouse Manager and General Manager to oversee day to day kitchen operations.
- Be mindful of food costs and limiting waste.
- Assist with the maintaining of inventory and records of food and supplies.
- Be responsible for the overall cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, lead by example.
- Ensure all daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks are completed.
- Ensure all company standards are met and lead by example.
- Respond to requests/areas of improvement in a calm professional manner.
- Perform other duties as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Previous kitchen experience is necessary.
- Experience with preparing food for large groups or banquets would be an asset.
- Knowledge of methods and procedures for serving food, principles of sanitation, and principles of safe food handling required.
- Food Safety Certification or the ability to obtain.
- Must be confident and able to work unsupervised.
- Must be available to work various shifts including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Must possess good communication skills and a positive team attitude.
