At Pacific Smoke International, our mission is to help people quit smoking by providing safer alternatives to traditional cigarettes. As the leading distributor of electronic vaporizers and award-winning vaping products in Canada, we've made significant progress since our founding in 2013. However, we have much more to accomplish for our customers, and we're looking for a culturally aligned Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our dynamic team located in Markham.

As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will report to the Controller and collaborates with the Order Processing & Invoicing Supervisor, the Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for processing and monitoring of incoming payments and safeguarding the receipts of revenue for the company.
**The Accounts Receivable Clerk will**:
- Process incoming payments and posting payments to customer accounts.
- Performs all debt collection duties and ensures that all aged receivables are collected in a timely manner while maintaining the collection goals.
- Put past due accounts on hold in accordance with the company’s standard operating procedure.
- Issuing monthly customer statements.
- Reconciling the payments posted with the daily bank deposit statement.
- Maintain communication with customers regarding outstanding balance, payment discrepancies, and any other matter related to accounts receivable.
- Investigate and resolve any invoicing discrepancies, collection issues, rejected payment or misapplied payments.
- Completing accounts receivable ledger reconciliation.
- Providing management with monthly status update on overdue accounts, account receivable issues, and a breakdown of aging balances
- Support month end and year end close procedures.
- Perform all reasonable work activities to support team or as assigned by manager.
**To be successful you should have**:
- Minimum two year experience in an account receivable or client-service related role.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to quickly build up relationships with both internal & external customers
- Willingness to learn new skills to be applied in workplace
- Think out of box and continuously find ways to improve current processes
- A team player
- Post-secondary education is an asset.
- Experience in a wholesale / distribution organization is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
- Experience using an ERP software. NetSuite skill is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft office suite tools
