Northgate Industries is looking for a **Design & Drafting Assistant Manager **to join our team in Acheson. The Design & Drafting Manager will report to the VP of Manufacturing and will be responsible for leading a team of Design and Drafting Estimators.

**You will also be responsible for**:

- Coordinate all work of the Drafting Team
- Execute drawings and specifications for projects in a timely manner
- Assure all projects meet design goals and technical requirements
- Ensure all projects meet required approvals and or related Building Codes
- Provide all relevant departments with required information to assure the timely completion of projects
- Provide all relevant departments with accurate and centrally distributed drawings and specification packages
- Assist and take initiative with identifying areas of improvement, cost savings, and time savings.

**Qualifications**:

- University degree or college diploma focused on construction, engineering, or architecture
- 4+ year’s experience in engineering, design and drafting with 2D AutoCAD
- Strong listening & leadership skills
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Capable of delivering accurate results in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate, and present at an exceptional level - both written and verbal
- Strategic mindset, with the ability to innovate and implement
- Proficient in Microsoft (Excel, Outlook and Word)

- Modular Construction: 2 years (preferred)
