**Highlights of this opportunity**:
- Produce, coordinate, and deliver show(s) and show elements for multi-platform use;
- Work closely with other departments relating to web content, on air promotions, scheduling, master control, etc.;
- Develop and maintain sources and contacts for News gathering purposes;
- Pre-approve show content, assist with ensuring legal requirements are met for advanced consultation with the Executive Producer;
- Oversee and develop interviews and pre-interviews for broadcast; Approve interviews and vet/write questions;
- Facilitate shooting and editing schedules;
- Manage and maintain production schedules including utilizing associated software as applicable;
- Create/participate in short and long-term planning, and implement plans accordingly;
- Make and participate in editorial decisions for assigned show(s); Lead regular scheduled story and production meetings;
- Review and approve graphic requests, final graphics, various edits, and vetting of scripts;
- Participate in training and orientation to interns and fellows; mentor, train and orient new staff members to unit operations;
- Remain aware of all national issues relevant to Indigenous communities;
- Monitor national and local news and events for relevancy and stay informed on current and emerging issues;
- Implement News and/or Current Affairs policies, procedures and standards for assigned show(s).
**Your accomplishments and experience include**:
- A degree or diploma in relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Broadcast journalism experience in a production capacity;
- Fluency in French & English
