As Ontario's second-largest engineering co-op program, we offer flexible, paid work terms ranging from 4 to 16 months, allowing students to integrate valuable industry experience into their academic journey. Beyond co-op placements, the Centre provides year-round services, including personalized career advising, resume and interview preparation, and access to over 10,000 job postings annually. Students also benefit from a variety of workshops, networking events, and involvement in over 100 student clubs and teams, fostering both professional and personal growth. Through its holistic approach, the Centre ensures that engineering students are well-equipped to navigate their career paths and achieve success in the workforce. **About the Position** As a member of the Engagement and Experiential team, the role **Career Resource Coordinator** provides career education and co-op support services to students in the Faculty of Engineering, helping them build career readiness, access co-op, and successfully transition into the Canadian workforce. Taking a holistic, student-centered approach, the **Career Resource Coordinator** offers one-on-one career advising, targeted workshops, and proactive support for students navigating job searches **Job Summary** Responsible for the coaching and advising of students regarding career development skills and processes. Provide informed and responsive job search support to a diverse group of students and alumni. Enhance and promote career development services, co-operative education opportunities and employer related events and activities. Provide co-ordination for daily operations, activities, events and counselling services. **Representative Duties & Responsibilities** - Develop, maintain and coordinate resources, materials, library and website content for the Centre. - Research and retain information on current job openings, employment trends, emerging careers and educational requirements. - Facilitate student orientations and workshops on topics such as resume writing and interview preparation. - Coach and advise students on career development skills and processes such as resume writing, interviewing skills, networking and negotiating employment offers. - Critique resumes, cover letters and conduct mock interviews for students. - Assist with the development of student orientations and workshops. - Support students in researching academic and career interests using various resources. - Develop marketing and promotional materials such as newsletters, flyers and brochures. - Conduct database, literature, and web searches to locate information and articles relevant to career counselling and planning for students and alumni. - Plan and coordinate a variety of events and activities such as conferences, seminars, and workshops. - Collect, analyze, assess, and summarize information relevant to the decision-making process and develop recommendations for final approval and implementation. - Co-ordinate recruitment and selection of students. - Write a variety of documents including correspondence, manuals, and
