**Summary**

The assistant store manager supports the store manager in all daily operations, including ordering, training, managing performance, inventory, and setting the example for customer service standards.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with the store manager with the preparation of the 4-week inventory and scheduling budgets and the ongoing review of results.
- Work with the buyers to order products in consideration of the established budget, sales data, and receiving dates.
- Support the store manager in maintaining stand-out customer service.
- Assist in hiring and onboarding new team members.
- Assess performance of clerks and supervisors through training, performance management, and continuous feedback.
- Merchandise products with direction from the buyer and operations manager, taking into consideration customer's shopping habits.
- Receive product in accordance with company processes.
- Ensure health and safety standards are met through regular reviews of expectations, store cleanliness, potential hazards, and safe-lifting.
- Support the store manager and operations manager with the product price verification schedule.
- Conduct periodical inventory as assigned by the store manager.

**Other Related Duties**
- May require a modifying schedule to ensure sufficient coverage of duties, and maintain high levels of customer service.
- Maintain high productivity levels and create efficiencies through proper delegation and management of the team.

**Working Conditions**
- Standing / Moving for 8 hours a day / 5 days a week
- Working some weekends
- Lifting and/or carrying merchandise up to 25lbs on a frequent Basis
- Lifting above the shoulder

- **Liquor industry knowledge**:

- **Retail sales experience: 3+ years**:

- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (primarily Excel)
- **Liquor sales: 1+ year**

**Minimum Requirements**
- Must be 19+ years of age
- Must have a valid Serving It Right

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $27.00 per hour
