The Manitoba Métis Federation (MMF) is the democratically elected National Government of the Red River Métis, also known as the Manitoba Métis. The Red River Métis are a distinct Indigenous Nation and People, and Canada's Negotiating Partners in Confederation and the Founders of the Province of Manitoba.

The Infinity Women Secretariat (IWS) is an affiliate of the MMF whose main purpose is to promote, empower and enhance the social, culture and economic well-being of Métis Women.

The IWS seeks to fill **one full-time Family Support Coordinator** position located at 150 Henry Ave in **Winnipeg, MB**. Reporting to the IWS Spokeswoman, the Family Support Coordinator plans, implements, and coordinates the ‘Pey Key Way Ta Hin - Bring Me Home’ program. This program is aimed at finding missing and murdered Indigenous Citizens and will include support for the families of all missing and murdered loved ones.

**_ Job Duties/Competencies:_**
- Support the development of community engagement protocols for respectful communication in program development;
- Develop relationships with prospective and registered families of missing and murdered loved ones;
- Foster the healing journey for families by advocating or supporting them to seek answers, assess information, and provide information on decisions made by government agencies;
- Assist in the development of a Communications Campaign to bring awareness to missing and murdered Indigenous Citizens;
- Ensure access to community based culturally grounded grief and trauma supports (cultural advisors, Elders, or programs depending on family’s wishes);
- Assist in the development of information brochures and other public communications.

**_ Skills and Qualifications:_**
- Bachelor’s Degree in the social sciences or equivalent experience and training related to justice and community program development;
- Experience in the field of Social Services as a Program Coordinator or relevant position;
- Experience with case and program management and evaluation;
- Knowledge and experience working with victims of trauma, grief and loss crime related;
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and time management skills;
- Knowledge of Red River Métis culture and MMF programs and services is an asset; and
- Ability to travel, valid Manitoba Driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle.
