Who we are:
Family Dynamics is a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening families and building healthy supportive communities since 1936. The In-Home Support program is one of the first programs to be offered.
About the Opportunity:
Do you have experience working with children and families? Are you looking for an opportunity to provide support to parents and children that helps them thrive?
Join the In-Home Family Support team as a Family Support Worker 3
Family Support Workers provide practical assistance to families in their homes (houses, apartments, condos, rented or owned), based on a service agreement created with each family.
Family Support workers provide child care to young children (primarily infants, toddlers, and school aged children), light housekeeping and meal preparation, as well as providing emotional support, parental guidance, and connection to additional community resources, during difficult family circumstances.
Shift and Schedules:
Family Support Workers are scheduled for regular and repeating shifts with multiple families each week. You may work with the same family for 6 weeks or up to one year. Family Support Workers are also scheduled as needed for replacement/substitute placement shifts. Evening shifts may be scheduled until 10:00pm. Weekend shifts are daytime and evening. Flexible and consistent availability allows us to schedule you to capacity, however available placements are based on number of factors.
Ongoing Training and Support:
In your first year of employment, you will be provided regular in-house training specific to Family Dynamics framework of supporting child development and strengthening protective factors with families.
We work as a team, with each family receiving a Support Coordinator and a Support Worker. Support Coordinators provide guidance through regular supervision with Family Support Workers. You always have someone to reach out to for help and understanding.
