Position: Manager, Intake and Assessment - Enterprise Digitization, Smart Automaton COE The Role: Under direct supervision of the Senior Manager of Smart Automation, the intake and assessment Manager assumes program support responsibility for all aspects of the Smart Automation Program in Canada (Program management, assessment, deployment and support teams). Contributes to the overall success of the Smart Automation Program globally ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. Accountabilities: - Facilitates initial and ongoing conversations with business units and act as relationship manager to the CoE - Initiates data requests to gather and analyze process documents and business architect diagrams - Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader bank relationships, systems and knowledge - Owns quantitative models that will be used to assess the potential benefits of Smart Automation opportunities while maintaining a repository of all process opportunities for the bank - Ensure proper set of measures for each KPI - Tracks and reports metrics of individual deployments and at the program level while maintaining a repository of all process opportunities - Collaborate and support Smart Automation team members in change management, development labs, production, and maintenance teams to resolve problems, to implement changes that continuously improve our approach and overall program. - Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions - Champions a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment; communicating vison/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team - Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct Education / Experience - 2-4 years of experience working in Financial Services Industry - Understanding of core banking processes and systems - Strong analytical capability - Strong presentation and facilitation skills - Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) - Enthusiastic, thorough, inclusive, ability and desire to help other thrive in a dynamic team-oriented environment - Inquisitive mindset; eager to learn and acquire knowledge - Fluency in Spanish is an asset - Working knowledge of Robotics/Machine Learning/OCR/Process Mining in financial services is an asset Location(s): Canada : Ontario : Toronto Scotiabank is a leading bank in the Americas.
