Job title: Plant Operations Manager - Lead innovation in machine building with World Class brands
We're looking for an experienced
Plant Operations Manager
to oversee the daily operations of our production floor, including assembly, system testing, and delivery. You'll manage cross-functional teams and collaborate with vendors to ensure excellence in quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery. If you have a background in machine manufacturing or electronics manufacturing, this role will excel your skills in automation equipment manufacturing
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive Daily Ops
– Own the floor. Lead assembly, commissioning, and testing to deliver excellence on every system. - Optimize Supply Chains
– Build strong vendor relationships and negotiate smart contracts that keep us ahead of the curve. - Streamline Inventory
– Ensure critical parts are always where they need to be—before they're needed. - Boost Productivity
– Identify bottlenecks. Launch lean initiatives. Drive continuous improvement. - Champion Quality
– Maintain Pack-Smart's reputation for precision through uncompromising quality standards. - Lead with Purpose
– Inspire, coach, and elevate a talented team of technicians and assemblers. - Collaborate to Win
– Sync with Engineering, Sales, and Support to align operations with business goals. - Track the Metrics
– Report on KPIs, costs, and timelines with clarity and confidence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Operations Management (or related field).
- 5+ years leading operations in machine manufacturing or electronics manufacturing environments.
- Identifying and improving supply chain strategy, production planning, and inventory management.
- Strong people management skills and a track record of building high-performance teams.
- Strong knowledge of pneumatics, servo motors, and machine shop practices.
- Experience with ERP systems (or related) and industrial automation is a major asset.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
