The Interprofessional Practice and Learning team facilitates and advances person-centered care through evidence-based professional practice and learning strategies and programs that are designed provincially and implemented locally to enhance collaborative learning and practice. The Interprofessional Practice and Learning team takes a leadership role in creating a culture of collaboration with a focus on team-based care, evidence-informed practice, and learning and professional development to improve health outcomes for patients, families and communities. Through strong partnerships with the academic sector, regulators, and government, the Interprofessional Practice and Learning team has an integral role in influencing and operationalizing health system priorities.
**About the Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Manager of Interprofessional Practice, the Professional Practice Coordinator works with members of the individual disciplines, operational leadership, staff and practice councils to create an environment for person and family centered health and collaborative inter-professional teams, through the advancement of health discipline best practice.
Please note this position requires periodic travel to facilities within Central Zone. Access to reliable transportation is required
**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Physiotherapy or Master of Science degree in Physiotherapy required
- Licensure and membership in good standing with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists required
- Membership with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years clinical experience as a Physiotherapist, and two (2) years clinical experience with related leadership skills required
- Diploma or certificate in adult education or equivalent (or willing to obtain)
- Recent professional development relevant to maintaining competency in clinical practice and education
- Previous experience in education support, onboarding new staff and transition to practice an asset
- Demonstrated initiative, effective interpersonal skills, communication skills and innovative problem solving
- Previous teaching experience which involves designing, implementing and evaluating both traditional and nontraditional methods of instruction preferred
- Physical demands requiring setting up rooms, walking and standing, movement of educational resource tools within the facilities and across multiple sites
- Competencies in other languages preferred, French an asset

**Compensation and Benefits**:
$41.00 - $52.96 hourly
$79,942 - $103,271 annually
