**COORDINATOR, GRIEF SUPPORT PROGRAM**
**ATTRIBUTES/QUALIFICATIONS**
The Coordinator, Grief Support Program must be knowledgeable of/have the ability to:
- Use discretion and judgement to support clients in registering for Grief Support programs. This involves recognizing urgent situations and when to access support from other team members
- Understand family dynamics, unique needs and patterns/styles for communication and/or decision-making to support the grief journey of clients
- Manage telephone calls with clients who may be experiencing difficult emotions/situations
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Abides by and demonstrates PHS’s Mission, Vision and Values through both behaviour and job performance on a daily basis.
- Assist in maintaining client records by documenting all contact with clients as per organizational documentation standards
- Sets up initial client records. Inputs Stats for team members into our Common Drive for review and use by other staff members.
- Coordinator Grief Support programs by booking rooms for presentations and workshops provided by the Grief Counselling Team, ensuring client lists are up to date, communicating with group facilitators, volunteers and the marketing team as needed
- Attends and participates actively in Interdisciplinary Team Meetings, staff meetings, educational in-services, and actively contributes to quality outcome measures.
- Maintains our in-house Lending Library and orders and catalogues new materials.
- Ensures program supplies are up to date and ordered ahead of groups, presentations and workshops.
- Ensure filing of documents and files is kept up to date in a timely manner.
- Reviews and adheres to all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.
- Hours will generally be Monday to Friday - 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Hours may vary due to programming, events and/or special projects and may include some evenings and weekends.
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Current registration with appropriate professional association if applicable.
- Prior non-profit experience an asset.
FTE: 0.8-1.0 (30-37.5 hours/week)
