Reporting to the Director of Real Estate, the Real Estate Financial Analyst will play a key role in helping shape the
Financial Reporting of the department. Comfortable in a growing environment you see opportunities in change. You are
a strong accountant with significant experience in audit, process improvement, reconciliations, consolidation, and
implementing improvements in a multicompany, multi-currency and multinational team environment. This is an
**Role**
- Prepare the weekly management reports and statistical analysis for the group of companies.
- Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements.
- Will analysis and review of monthly internal financial statements for the group of companies.
- Prepare quarterly operating reports
- Prepare annual financial information binder to be provided to external auditors
- Participate in the preparation of the annual budget including collaboration with department heads to gather required
information.
- Develop and maintain different financial reports as needed
- Perform the accounting and reconciliations for various holding companies and the associated sales
tax returns
- Prepare of compliance reports for third parties as required.
- Analyze financial performance and propose solutions to maintain and develop the profitability of activities.
- Collaborate with operations managers in the preparation of budget forecasts.
- Work collaboratively with the PowerBI resource to automate certain existing reports and
develop new reports that will support Senior Management in decision making.
- Assist in the implementation and post implementation of Microsoft Great Plains and the Real Estate Binary System
software.
- Support the audit process which may include tax audits, sales tax audits, internal and external audits.
- Support the Finance team with ad-hoc requests and new initiatives.
**Skills and expertise**
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel
- Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task and work with tight deadlines
- Great team player but can also work autonomously
- High adaptability to changes
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Recognized accounting title (CPA)
- 3 - 5 years experience in a similar role (Real Estate)
- Experience in transportation industry is considered an asset
- Bilingual
