Role Description

This is a full-time on-site position located in Greater Montreal, QC. As the Manager - Property Accounting, you will oversee financial reporting, prepare financial statements, and manage accounting processes for a portfolio of properties. Responsibilities include:

  • Leading financial operations for lease management, including rent billing, adjustments, and tenant communications.

  • Driving monthly variance analysis, accruals, and accurate quarterly expense provisions.

  • Overseeing capital budgets, project tracking, and collaborating on forecasting and budget planning.

  • Managing a team of up to five property accountants and technicians.

  • Ensuring timely recovery of overdue accounts, approving reconciliations, and maintaining financial accuracy across operations.

Qualifications

-Strong background in Accounting and Finance, with a deep understanding of industry principles

  • Minimum of 10 years in property accounting.

  • CPA designation is an asset.

  • Prior experience in the commercial real estate industry.

  • Bilingualism is a must.
