We are seeking a motivated self-starter to become our **Junior Mortgage Underwriter** with the hopes of becoming a Senior Underwriter.
- Work from home occasionally is an option
- Salary position with referral incentives
- Licensed individuals can make commission on clients they acquire

**Key Roles of the Position**:

- Review financial documents, including tax returns, bank statements, etc
- Obtaining titles/appraisals/property tax statements
- Communicating with lenders
- Managing demanding timelines
- Communicating with Brokers regularly
- Staying up to date with policy changes at each lender
- Staying up to date with regulations and guidelines to ensure compliance with lending standards

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Some level of Underwriting experience, or other Mortgage Industry experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Outlook
- Strong communication skills - verbally and written
- Very high attention to detail
- Organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Self-starter and driven
- Willingness to learn

Will require at least 2 references.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

**Salary**: $42,283.24-$65,977.91 per year
