**Purpose of the position**
The HRIS Analyst directly reports to the Team Lead, Talent & Immigration. This role the incumbent** **is responsible for the administration, maintenance (including ensuring data quality and reporting), enhancements, and overall management of our HRIS system (Dayforce), ensuring it aligns with SMART’s business needs and supports our growing global workforce.
**Responsibilities and accountabilities**
- Manages and maintains SMART’s HRIS ensuring data integrity and system performance.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for HRIS related issues and inquiries.
- Collaborates with HR team to understand HR and business needs and translate them into system solutions.
- Conducts regular system audits and prepares detailed reports on HR metrics.
- Leads HRIS system upgrades and implementations.
- Identifies, designs, documents, tests, and drives HRIS related business process changes in accordance with internal controls and with a focus on achieving positive business outcomes.
- Creates and delivers training on HRIS processes and procedures.
- Builds close relationships with all key stakeholders’ teams, namely Payroll, HR, Benefits, Tax, IT, and Legal.
- Serves as company HRIS SME.
- Supports other related projects, duties, meetings, and reporting as necessary.
**Education, work experience and skills**
- Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in HRIS or HR technology role.
- Proficiency in Ceridian/Dayforce is preferred.
- 2+ Experience with other HRIS/HCM systems is required.
- Ideally involved in an HRIS implementation cycle.
- Human Resources experience in a different discipline is an asset (i.e., payroll, benefits, recruitment, compensation, business partnering)
- Strong understanding of HR processes and data.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to exercise discretion in working with confidential and private information.
- Demonstrated collaboration techniques working with stakeholders to achieve common goals.
- Highly organized with strong time management skills.
- Detail oriented with a specific focus and balance of speed and accuracy.
- Ability to manage critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment with conflicting priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including MS Excel.
