As the Strategic Legislative Analyst supporting the City Clerk’s Office Citizen Recognitions and Protocol team, you will support implementation of the Public Hearing Improvements Project, emerging citizen engagement initiatives, and program and event support to citizen recognitions and protocol services.
Primary duties include:
- Deliver on Council-Directed work through research, analysis and liaising with other Business Unit partners.
- Conduct research engagements to develop and articulate partners' position on strategic issues.
- Develop governance resources and tools such as guides, templates, and website content.
- Report writing that incorporates findings and recommendations that effectively communicate Key messages.
- Manage projects and initiatives including scope and timelines.
**Qualifications**
***A degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Law, Geography or a related discipline with at least 2 years’ experience in research, data analysis, consultation, project management and report writing.
Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.
- A valid Class 5 Drivers Licence or provincial equivalent and the use of a personal vehicle for work is also required.
Experience working in local government will be considered an asset.
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate at all levels in a large and complex organization along with the ability to think strategically with well-developed analytical skills.
Self-directed with the ability to work independently and effectively lead multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

-Compensation: Level D $72,674 - 108,190 per annum
-Days of Work: This position works a 5 day
-work week earning 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.
