Job Summary:
Mado Ice-Cream, Cafe, and Bakery, is seeking a skilled and passionate Baker/Bakery Assistant to join our team. As a Baker/Bakery Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the production of high-quality baked goods, ensuring adherence to recipes, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and providing excellent customer service.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Baking and Production: Assist in the preparation and production of a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and desserts, following established recipes and quality standards.
2. Mixing and Dough Preparation: Measure and mix ingredients, prepare doughs, batters, and fillings, and operate baking equipment and machinery as needed.
3. Baking and Oven Management: Monitor baking times and temperatures, ensure proper oven utilization, and adjust baking parameters as necessary to achieve desired results.
5. Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring ingredient and supply inventory levels. Notify supervisors when supplies need to be replenished and assist in receiving and storing incoming deliveries.
6. Quality Control: Perform quality checks on baked goods, ensuring they meet established standards for taste, texture, appearance, and freshness.
7. Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment, utensils, and preparation surfaces. Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations at all times.
8. Customer Service: Provide friendly and efficient customer service, including assisting customers with inquiries, taking orders, and offering product recommendations.
9. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth operations and timely production.
10. Adherence to Policies and Procedures: Follow company policies, procedures, and recipes to ensure consistency and quality in all baked goods.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Proven experience as a baker or bakery assistant, preferably in a fast-paced food service environment.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
- Basic math skills for recipe measurements and conversions.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet production deadlines.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Food safety and hygiene certification is a plus.
