**Job Title**: Security Guard-Front Desk
**Location**: Waterloo, ON
**Type**: Full-Time
**Pay Rate**: $ 20- $ 21.42 per hour
**Shifts**: Overnight Shifts - 0000-0800

We are seeking a professional, vigilant, and detail-oriented Security Guard to provide front desk coverage at one of our premium sites in Waterloo.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Greet and assist visitors, contractors, and employees as they enter the building. Provide information, direct individuals to appropriate areas, and ensure a positive first impression of the company.
- Manage security desk operations, including issuing visitor badges, maintaining access control logs, and responding to inquiries. Provide support to building staff, contractors, and visitors as needed.
- Oversee the gatehouse operations, monitor vehicles entering and exiting the premises, and ensure compliance with security procedures. Verify vehicle access and provide appropriate directions.
- Regularly patrol parking areas, ensuring compliance with parking regulations and addressing any violations.
- Monitor building access, ensuring that only authorized individuals are granted entry. Verify identification and manage the sign-in process for visitors, contractors, and employees.
- Respond to emergencies swiftly and efficiently, coordinating with law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
- Document and report any incidents or irregularities promptly, ensuring accurate details are recorded for follow-up.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- 1-2 years of experience working in a security sector.
- Must have a valid Ontario Security License.
- **Must have 5 + years of residency in Canada to obtain site specific security clearance**:

- Must have a G License.
- Must be 25 years of age or older for insurance purposes
- Ability to obtain a Clean Driver's abstract
- High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience.
- Familiarity with operating technology and wireless communication systems at client-specific sites.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- First Aid and CPR
