**About the Billing Specialist position**:
This **part-time permanent** role is instrumental in Frozen Solid's commitment to delivering excellence. The **Billing Specialist** is a key member of the Finance/Administration team. This role provides a variety of billing functions, with the primary goal being to ensure our customers are invoiced accurately and in a timely manner. Key duties include validating invoice details, reviewing supporting paperwork, and investigating and resolving billing discrepancies. This position works closely with our Operations team as well as other Finance members to maintain the integrity of all financial operations.
**Position Key Information**:
- Work days: Monday to Friday_
- Start time: 8am-12pm_
- Shift hours: 4hrs-6hrs._
- Note: This is a part-time position. There is potential for this position to convert to full-time based on business needs and performance._
**Responsibilities**:
**Invoicing**:
- Prepare, review, and distribute invoices to clients or customers accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with company billing policies.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of billing records, including product and service descriptions, quantities, pricing, and tax calculations.
**Client Communication**:
- Respond to client inquiries regarding invoices, resolve billing discrepancies, and deliver excellent customer service in all interactions.
- Monitor and track payments to ensure they are received within agreed-upon terms, and follow up as needed.
**Administrative Duties**:
- Generate reports related to billing and project progress as required, providing insights and data to support decision-making.
- Recommend, develop, and implement new processes to streamline invoicing operations and enhance customer satisfaction.
**Qualifications**:
- A minimum of 3-5 years experience in invoicing or billing.
- Experience in the trucking industry would be a definite asset.
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in Sage accounting software and Microsoft Office suite
- **Advanced/Expert skills and extensive experience in Excel.**:
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.

$46,112.19-$68,439.38 per year (Based on Full-Time, 1.0 FTE)
