Reporting to the Manager, Curricular Innovation Initiatives, the Coordinator and Research Facilitator, Curricular Innovation Initiatives is responsible for providing responsive, high-quality project management and research support to a wide range of curricular innovation projects. Working in an agile, outcomes-driven environment, the Coordinator works closely with faculty, academic leadership and academic support staff to plan, schedule, coordinate and communicate the implementation of high priority multi-stakeholder projects of strategic importance to the University. The Coordinator also supports evidence-based practice across by conducting literature reviews, facilitating data collection and analysis, preparing research documentation and coordinating knowledge dissemination activities. The Coordinator collaborates closely with the Office of the Vice-President, Academic & Provost (VPAP) and the Faculties to ensure that project activities and outcomes are communicated and implemented in alignment with academic governance requirements and timelines.

The Coordinator and Research Facilitator works within the Centre for Learning & Teaching (CLT) as part of a larger team delivering a range of programs and services for faculty, students, Teaching Assistants and other instructional staff. Together, they collaborate with the university community to provide leadership and support that creates and sustains equitable and engaging teaching and learning environments for all OCAD University students.

This position is eligible for hybrid work arrangements; however, a minimum of three days per week of on campus work is required with flexibility to adjust the days and times of work on campus from week to week to meet project needs.

**Summary of Responsibilities**:

- Provide project management support for curricular innovation projects (e.g., course pilots, working groups, pedagogical research, resource development), working with project team members to develop, implement, monitor and communicate project plans, workflows, timelines, outcomes and related documentation
- Coordinate project evaluation activities, assist with data collection and analysis, and compile data summaries and reports; facilitate focus groups as required
- Liaise with and build sustained relationships with the Faculty offices, the School of Graduate Studies and other units across the University to promote collaboration and strengthen inter-departmental communication, information-sharing and referrals; disseminate information and updates across project teams as needed
- Work with the Manager to develop and implement communications strategies to build campus-wide awareness of curricular innovation activities
- Work with the Faculty offices and the Office of the Vice-President, Academic & Provost (VPAP) to facilitate information sharing and the timely flow of new curriculum proposals through academic governance processes, liaising with the Curricular Research and Development Committee to align workflows and priorities as required
- Coordinate events, presentations and other knowledge dissemination activities to share promising practices and advance curricular innovation at the University
- Coordinate a pedagogical innovation micro-grant program
- in consultation with the Evaluation and Communications Specialist, implement program monitoring and evaluation processes to advance evidence-informed program development and decision-making; support the preparation and dissemination of relevant reports and presentations as required
- Conduct environmental scans and literature searches and prepare literature reviews and annotated bibliographies
- Assist with the preparation of research funding proposals and research project proposals, presentations and reports
- Support the development, design and preparation of new resources in response to emerging curricular needs and interests; coordinate the annual review and maintenance of curricular innovation resources
- Collaborate with the Coordinator, Faculty Programs to coordinate the OCAD U Teaching Exhibition, a showcase of teaching in art and design education
- Work with Faculty and the VPAP office staff to coordinate and support Centre contributions to annual May curriculum meetings as required
