**POSITION OVERVIEW**:
We have a position available with Mother Infant Research Program, at Mount Sinai Hospital. The Research Associate reports to the Principal Investigators within the Center. The incumbent will assist the Principal Investigator in all scientific, ethical, funding, grant preparation and generating outputs in addition to assisting in some administrative activities related to the International Network for Evaluation of Outcomes (iNeo), Canadian Preterm Birth Network (CPTBN), Evidence-based Practice for Improving Quality (EPIQ) initiatives and other sub-studies related to improve the outcomes for preterm infants and their families. Each Network will bring together experts from perinatal and neonatal research communities globally.

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Conducting literature search, summarizing literature, designing research question, drafting proposal, developing manuscript, revising and editing manuscripts related to PI directed or self-directed questions arising from network data
- Plan and coordinate the network’s annual report creation; compose and distribution of minutes from Network meetings and follow up action items;
- Coordinating research proposals from other national and international investigators in the network, obtaining ethical approvals,, liaising with data managers and statisticians in conducting analyses, reporting back and assisting investigators with writing of appropriate sections of manuscripts and provide editing support
- Assist PI in designing newer experiments, grant proposals, developing grant budget, coordinating with national and international investigators in preparation of new proposal and projects
- Coordinates project specific appropriate committee approvals, updating ethics approvals and liaise with ethics board in order to answer their questions and timely receiving ethics approvals
- Coordinate aspects of administrative activities for multiple international research networks;
- Coordinate research data request activities; ensure data request and privacy policies are followed through; communicate with site abstractors and investigators when performing troubleshoot;
- Liaise with the other research coordinators, I.T. team and statisticians when checking for data submissions for reports and manuscripts creation;
- In collaboration with the supervising investigator and the other research coordinators, help to organize virtual meetings, international symposiums and annual conference
- Schedule and attend teleconferences, workshops on regular basis; compose, distribute meeting agenda and minutes; follow up action items;
- In collaboration with participating site investigators and various Mount Sinai departments, facilitate sub-grant contracts, research agreements and event contract process;
- Prepare for one-day annual meeting of network (face to face or virtual) investigators, members and data abstractors
- Assist in planning and handling conference registration process; communicate with conference delegates and invited guests to ensure a smooth registration process;
- Work closely with Principal Investigator to administer research cost centre activities. e.g. plan event budgets, prepare expense reports, handle reimbursement submissions, prepare payment requisitions etc);
- Perform other general office related duties (travel arrangements, photocopying, faxing, arranging couriers, ordering and maintaining office supplies, etc);
- Other duties as directed by the Principal Investigator or his/her designate.

**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**:

- Bachelor Degrees (Master’s degree would be plus) in Health Science, Public Health or equivalent.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience and demonstrated success in research setting
- High degree of computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Familiarity in working with confidential information; maintaining
