**Job Description**:
The Communications Advisor supports the development and implementation of various integrated communication programs related to corporate communications, with a focus on internal and operational communications. Reporting to the Senior Director - Communications and Corporate Affairs, the Advisor will mainly interact with the airline operations management teams and team leads. She or he will play a key role in developing, implementing and managing a series of communication channels and tools to reach and keep informed operational teams across the airline business network. As a content creator, the Communication Advisor will be called upon to reach, inform and engage with a wide range of diverse target audiences. She or he has a good business acumen, is an effective project manager and must demonstrate great versatility in both internal and external corporate communications to fulfill her or his responsibilities.
**Responsibilities**
- Actively contribute to the team and act as a key player in the development and implementation of various internal and external communication projects and activities.
- Key areas of expertise: internal communications, event planning and organization, content development and writing.
- Secondary areas of expertise (will be considered assets, but not required): social media and crisis management.
- Key projects you will be supporting include:
- Development of internal communication platforms, mechanisms, policies and tools
- Event planning and management, logistics (e.g., various large-scale internal events)
- Content writing and editing for various uses (internal site, website, speeches to employees, presentations to suppliers and partners, etc.)
- Contribution to corporate and executive positioning, and thought leadership visibility programs
- Participate in the development and implementation of communication plans and activities, both strategic and tactical (campaigns, launches, inaugurations, events, etc.).
- Write and ensure the translation and production of nu.merous documents: letters, speeches, articles, memos announcing changes, appointment and departure notices, biographical notes, news releases, talking points, Q&A documents, backgrounders, fact sheets, or any other communication tools.
- Support on issues and public relations files related to special situations.
- Design, produce, update and distribute, or participate closely in the design, production, update and distribution of communication tools (prints, PowerPoint presentations, photo production, video shooting, etc.).
- Ensure the daily management of internal communication platforms and their long-term development.
- Perform any other duties related to the position.
**Qualifications**:
- University degree in communications, marketing or any other related field
- 5-8 years of relevant experience
- Fluent in spoken and written English and French; high-quality English writing an asset
- Very familiar and seasoned with internal and external communications, event planning and management, writing and content development
- Ability to design and write relevant and effective strategic communication tools and documents (speeches, newsletter, internal notes, plans, recommendations, Q&A, editorial calendar, etc.)
- Advanced knowledge of Word and PowerPoint; (Excel optional)
- Knowledge of website or intranet management tools or systems (e.g.: databases, html, etc.)
- Knowledge of design and layout tools (Canva, InDesign, Photoshop, etc.), an asset.
- Action-driven, detail-oriented and methodological
- Creative, autonomous and rigorous
- Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time and respect deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Team player and build relationships easily
