**SALARY**: $26.5 per hour

**Job Summary**

The major responsibilities for this position include staffing-related functions such as calling in relief staff and pre-booking shifts such as vacation.

**Job Duties**:
Call staff to fill vacancies in accordance with applicable collective agreements (HEU, BCNU); post rotations, provide reports for after-hours scheduling, and updates binders as required.

Maintain accurate phone numbers and timekeeping records for all staff, process requests such as shift changes, vacations, and leaves of absence by forwarding documentation to appropriate department heads for approval, and communicates decisions to employees as required.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education, Training and Experience**
- Grade 12 education.
- 3 years recent related experience in a healthcare setting, preferably Long Term Care, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Previous experience using Comvida for Scheduling.

**Skills and Abilities**
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to defuse and de-escalate situations, and instills confidence through a calm and professional demeanour.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- **NOTE: As per the current Public Health Orders (Long-Term Care/Seniors Assisted Living Provincial Health Officer Order and the Health Sector Order), as of October 26, 2021, all employees and contractors working in healthcare must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Proof of vaccination status will be required.**_
